Hancock County E-911 Central Dispatch’s mission is to serve as the communications link between the citizens and public safety agencies; make accurate identification of the citizen’s location and public safety response needs; quickly and accurately activate public safety services; provide communications support and coordination of all public safety and support agencies.

The commission is made up of (7) seven representatives from local county fire and police agencies, along with the Office of Emergency Management and City Appointee representatives. The Hancock County E-911 Board is in charge and responsible for all aspects of the E-911 Dispatch Center and the E-911 Addressing Office, including, budgeting, hiring and firing of any E-911 Employee.
