Notice of Road Closure - South Railroad Avenue

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors are preparing to begin a construction project to replace the westward bridge on South Railroad Avenue between Clermont Boulevard and Sears Avenue. This project will require the Contractor to close this section of road to all thru traffic for the duration of construction. The attached Traffic Control Plan shows the work zone, construction/detour signage, and detour route. Access will be unaffected along South Railroad Avenue on either side of the bridge, but thru traffic will be required to detour via Waveland Avenue, South Beach Boulevard, and Clermont Boulevard. The Contractor has requested to begin this work, starting the road closure and detour, on Monday, July 31st, and is expecting a duration of 4-5 months to complete the project.
