The commission is made of 7 representatives from local county fire and police agencies, along with Office of Emergency Management and City Appointee representatives. The Hancock County E-911 Board is in charge and responsible for all aspects of the E-911 Dispatch Center and the E-911 Addressing Office, including budgeting, hiring, and firing of any E-911 Employees.
Mission
Hancock County E-911 Central Dispatch's mission is to serve as the communications link between the citizens and public safety agencies; make accurate identification of the citizen's location and public safety response needs; quickly and accurately activate public safety services; and provide communications support and coordination of all public safety and support agencies.
